Sotiris Bouros

Sotiris Bouros was born in 1973 at Messolloghi. He has studied legal science in Great Britain being specialized in Commercial Law. Furthermore, he specialized in maritime law and graduated from the University of Wales, University of Cardiff. He speaks English fluently.

He has been awarded by the Greek Ministry of Transportation, a Certificate of Professional Competence as Haulier of Goods and Passengers in respect with national and international transportations. He is practicing law in Greece since the year 2000 with main object the Commercial Law (indicatively, drafting of loan agreements, agreements in general and INCOTERMS contracts, documentary credits/ credit agreements, foundation of companies-articles of incorporation for both Greek and off-shore companies, legalization of all types of companies, registration of trademarks not only in Greece but also globally drawing up employment contracts) and Maritime Law (indicatively, foundation of maritime companies, purchase and sale of vessels, reflagging and/or renaming of vessels, establishment in Greece of offices of off-shore companies, drafting of charter parties, solving/settlement of seafarers’ disputes/claims, loan agreements for shipping companies, constitution of mortgages, pledges, assignments agreements of insurances and earnings of vessels, guarantee’s agreements, letters of guarantee.

Since 2001, as professor at the Business College of Athens (BCA), he teaches English Maritime and Commercial Law. He is rapporteur in educative seminars, responsible for the training of the staff in several major industries, companies and banks. He has been a major rapporteur of the Euro-Mediterranean Transport System, a European project in respect to the harmonization of the Transportation Laws of countries neighboring the European Union with the transportation law of the European Union. He runs his own Law Firm, COSMOSLEGAL, ISO certified and acts as a legal advisor for major Shipping Companies.
