An academic year at BCA begins in mid-October and ends in late May of the following year. The educational volume is organized in two semesters, autumn and spring. Each semester includes 12 weeks of teaching and usually two weeks of exams. Exact dates are set by the college.
The autumn semester classes start in mid-October and end at late January, followed by the first exam period of the semester.
The spring semester classes start in mid-February and end at late May, followed by the first exam period of the spring semester. For the first semester the repeat exams are usually held shortly after Easter, while for the second semester in September.
Every semester, before the exams begin, students evaluate their courses and instructors in order to improve the quality of their studies.
Neither classes nor exams take place in July and August, the two months of summer vacation. Holidays also include:
