Studying at BCA

BCA combines the quality, extroversion, and prospects of British university education with life in Greece. It also incorporates the concepts of evaluation and excellence in all its operations, as only these concepts and practices create successful people and creative societies.

BCA’s history and its educational vision confirm its commitment to the values it stands for: it offers exclusively business studies. BCA aspired to be a leader in this field and achieved it. Generations of successful executives with great careers in Greece and abroad used BCA as a springboard to pursue their professional goals.

INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIONS

BCA collaborates with 3 leading European educational institutions: the University of West London (UWL) and the renowned Swiss hotel colleges Glion & Les Roches.

UWL is today the fastest-growing university in the UK. The Guardian University Guide list for 2021 ranks it 17th out of 147 UK Universities in Business Management & Marketing. (https://www.theguardian.com/education/ng-interactive/2020/sep/05/the-best-uk-universities-2021-league-table)

In the academic community, it is known as the Career University, since it is preferred by those seeking a career in modern, competitive professions.

BCA programmes are validated by the University of West London, which oversees assignments, exams, and awards degrees. BCA graduates obtain the same degrees  (Bachelors and Masters) from the University of West London, as their British counterparts, with worldwide recognition.

Students of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management at BCA can take advantage of its collaboration with the leading Swiss Schools, Glion & Les Roches. The collaboration includes seminars by faculty members that are often held on the City Campus of BCA and in addition, the opportunity for our students to attend one or more semesters of their studies in Switzerland or to pursue postgraduate studies there with extremely favorable fees.

BLENDED LEARNING

Blended learning is an approach to education that combines traditional, instructor-led classroom activities with technology and digital media, giving students a more interactive, flexible, and customised learning experience. BCA has developed various digital platforms in order to accommodate this approach and also offer students the possibility to be “digitally present” and not miss a single minute of class and other academic activities. These platforms are available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and include new, highly advanced technological applications that simulate the real classroom and enable virtual-online collaboration, research, and access to university and professional databases worldwide.

ONLINE PROGRAMMES

BCA offers online programs that allow students to juggle their career, education and other commitments without the confines of a fixed schedule as they have greater flexibility to schedule their studies and learn at their own pace. Through the innovative digital platform created by BCA for this purpose, students can  access course material over and over again, regardless of location, time zone, and availability.

PRACTICALS

BCA aims to link studies to the labor market. In the context of this philosophy, its students come in contact, from the first year of their studies, with large Greek and multinational companies, where some of them can conduct their practical placements. Regarding the hospitality fully paid internships, which are offered during summer, the students of the Tourism and Hospitality department are placed in leading hotel companies. For those who are placed in hotels located outside Athens, accommodation and food are also provided.

At the BCA City Campus, there is a simulation of a 5-star hotel, equipped with the most advanced software for customer management, so that our hotel management students can put theory into practice right from the start. Our goal is to prepare our students in order to respond to the demands of the labor market.

CAREER SERVICES

BCA students, having a degree from of a leading British university in their hands and a skill set that makes them stand out of the crowd, are considered highly employable. The percentage of employed students in the chosen industry sector, one year after obtaining their degree, reaches over 90% whereas in the tourism and hotel management sector reaches 100%. It goes without saying that this is not left to chance. BCA provides continuous guidance, support, and a plethora of digital tools to help its students and graduates pursue their chosen careers.
