Dr Nikolas Smyrlakis is an engineer who turned to entrepreneurship working with alcoholic spirits. After studying electrical engineering in Athens, working at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands and finishing his PhD in Business Administration & Management in Milan, went back to his roots in Greece and co-founded Roots Spirits with his brother Manos in the end of 2013. Roots is a range of four craft spirits, based on age-old herbal remedies, a family legacy of distilling and the 100% natural native ingredients of Greece. Roots have been celebrated in some of the best bars around the world and represent the new age of liqueurs.
