Ms.Angela Galanopoulou is a Shipping Operations Expert, Lead Auditor and Business Developer.

She has more than 30 years’ experience in shipping with emphasis on the environmental aspect of ship operations, quality and safety. She is an approved ISO Lead Auditor, ISM Lead Auditor, ISPS Lead Auditor and former Panama Surveyor. She has served in different posts starting as Ship Operator for bulk carriers and tankers, Claims handling, Chartering, and then Quality and Safety Manager specialized on tankers and chemical carriers, DPA-CSO and a consultant. She has undertaken projects (in risk assessment, marine environment protection and accidents/incidents investigation & analysis) auditing (shipping companies) and training work (professional courses such as STCW courses, ISM & ISPS courses and academic). She has been collaborated with the major nautical training centers in Greece for many years as instructor, developer and controller of flag states course approvals, and she has been approved by N.K.K., ABS, Marshall Islands, Liberia, Panama, and Cyprus. Through added value in her professional experience, she has delivered lectures for PG U.K. universities BSc and MSc shipping courses. Her cooperation with QEC Certification UKAS Accredited (UK), motivated her in the field of quality & environmental inspection and certification, starting as founder and Director of SQSS Certification Body accredited by ESYD and expanding services in shipping industry consultancy, project development and training.

Her focus in shipping quality and safety has been assigned through her articles for several shipping and economic magazines, and web-sites.

She has obtained the MSc in Maritime Operations from Liverpool John Moores University (UK) and the BSc in Shipping and Transport from London Guildhall University (UK) and she is member of
IQA – AIQA, IRCA, SOLE, EEDE and PSC.
