This module will focus on the major financial reports trying to understand the interpretation of the major financial statements by using financial ratios and trend analysis in terms of revenue, profitability, leverage, liquidity, and other business performance areas.  In addition, the module will discuss different managerial tools for decision making, such as selling below cost considerations, the break-even and profitability points via the classification of fixed and variable expenses.  Furthermore, it will be examining forecasting methods through the application and evaluation of quantitative and qualitative elements for forecasting financial variables. Moreover, students will conduct an in-depth evaluation of single and mutually exclusive investments through a variety of appraisal methods. Finally, they will also acquire a clear awareness on how to measure and consider other risk elements and apply sound strategies for maintaining a balance between risk and revenue/return.
