Mr. Konstantinos E. Avtzigiannis is a graduate of the University of Macedonia (Business Administration) and has completed postgraduate studies at the University of Wales (Postgraduate Diploma in Port and Maritime Administration) and at the University of Manchester (MSc) in Business Administration. He holds numerous professional certifications from Sociologists (Bureau Veritas, DNV – GL, LRS, NKK), the University of Portsmouth and the US Coast Guard. issues of Safety / Quality / Environmental Protection / Security against Crime, Maritime Labor in companies in the shipping and industry sectors, also working as a Director of Safety, Quality and Maritime Labor.

He is the main inspector (external partner) for BUREAU VERITAS CERTIFICATION since 2009 and had previously worked with DNV, in the same position.

Among his professional activities is the cooperation with shipping educational institutions. In the past his articles on maritime history, safety & environmental protection, safety from crime have been published in professional magazines.
