Dr Konstantinos A. Kapellas holds an Engineering Degree from the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Crete, an MBA in Business Administration from Aston University’s School of Business Administration, an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the department of Accounting and Finance of Manchester and a PhD in Financial Accounting from the Department of Accounting and Finance of the Athens University of Economics and Business. He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and holds a Certificate in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), both from the International Institute of Internal Auditors IIA.

He has over 20 years of work experience dealing with financial management, internal and financial control and financial consulting mainly in the field of energy but also in the field of retail, tourism and entertainment. In recent years, he has been teaching Financial Accounting at undergraduate and postgraduate level and his research interests focus on financial analysis, the use of accounting information to make investment decisions in the stock market.
