Dr Giorgos Iliou

Dr George Iliou received his Ph.D. from the Department of Business Administration of the University of Piraeus, and he has realized his postgraduate studies (Master’s) in the Ionian University in the fields of Historical Research, Teaching, and New Technologies. He is a graduate of the Department of Business Administration of the University of Piraeus, and he holds the General Secretariat of Sports Category A Coach Diploma.

He was the Competition Manager in the Athens 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Games,   Sport and Venue Manager in the Special Olympics World Games, Athens 2011, Technical Director in Mediterranean Games, Athens 1991 and he was Technical Director in an overall of fourteen World and European Events held in Greece from 1988 to this day. In his capacity as Technical Director, he has participated in the Olympic Games: Barcelona (1992), Atlanta (1996), and Sydney (2000).

He has taught Strategy at the University of the Peloponnese, Management in the Athens Technological Institute, while he is a visiting professor in the MSc Management of Services, of the Athens University of Economicς and Business. He has been honored by the Onassis Foundation, the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Panteion University of Athens, and the Hellenic Community of Melbourne, Australia.
