Dimos Iliopoulos

Mr. Dimos Iliopoulos has extensive experience in the shipping industry for over 40 years. Since 2020, he has been a Senior Technical Advisor at Hydrus Engineering, and from 2016 until today he is a lecturer of technical training courses and webinars at DNV Maritime Academy where he prepares a series of training courses  and presentations on different specialized technical issues for managers and staff members of shipping companies, technical officers of Hellenic Navy and engineers of Hellenic Shipyards. For two years (2017-2019), he was the  representative for Greece, Cyprus and Turkey in the sector of Salvage, Emergencies and Towage of the Resolve Marine Group, in Fort Lauderdale, USA. He has also worked as  a Shipbuilding Director, a New-buildings Manager, a New-buildings / Dry-dockings Manager & Deputy Technical Manager, a Deputy Technical Manager and DPA / CSO, a Safety and Quality Manager – DPA & Deputy Managing Director, a New-buildings and Contracts Manager, a Superintendent Engineer, a Newbuilding Project Manager (starting from Senior Design Engineer), and an Associate Member & Surveyor in the Technical Division of Crete Naval Base of Hellenic Navy. Additionally, for two years, he gained teaching experience as he was an instructor in Maritime Academy for Officers and a teacher in Marine Lyceums. Mr. Iliopoulos holds a degree in Naval Architecture and Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
