Mr. Alexandros Valentis holds a BSc Management in International Business, an MBA International Business and an MSc Marine Transport with Management. He has worked in a number of international shipping companies in the shipping finance department, where he achieved an annual reduction of overall outstandings by more than 30% for year 2003 at Maersk Hellas, a 223% annual increase of Shipping Department Portfolio at Proton Bank, an annual review for a portfolio of 36 shipping groups for 2013 and zero bad debts for 2013 at OW Bunker & Trading and originated successfully various projects at Golden Destiny Maersk Broker Hellas. Since 2019, he has been working in Glenseas Consulting Ltd, in the department of Shipping Projects & Finance, Origination & Development. He is also a member of The International Propeller Club of the United States Port of Piraeus, ICS (Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers), HSA (Hellenic Shipbrokers’ Association), Association of Banking and Financial Executives of Hellenic Shipping, IMAREST (Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology),RINA (Royal Institution of Naval Architects),SNAME (Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers),CMA (Connecticut Maritime Association),SPNL (Shipping Professional Network London),IBIA (International Bunkering Industry Association) and YSP (Young Shipping Professionals Greece).
