There is no branch of economics that is not related to the internet. However, although digitization offers enormous facilities in the daily lives of citizens and businesses, it exposes the economy and society to cyber threats. Critical areas, such as defense, public administration, finance, transport, energy, health, are increasingly dependent on digital technologies and thus becoming vulnerable to malicious malicious banking, sensitive data, government and industry. information, personal information, personal identification information (PII), intellectual property and protected health information (PHI). Cyber-attacks and cybercrime are on the rise around the world, with ever-evolving methods. This trend is expected to intensify as more and more computers connect to the internet.

Cybersecurity is becoming the number one issue of the present and the future, and experts in this field are valuable. The market value of the EU in the field of cybersecurity is estimated at more than 130 billion € and is growing at a rate of 17% per year. The EU has about 60,000 cybersecurity companies. Nevertheless, 3 million cybersecurity professionals are missing from the world, according to the latest report of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

The MSc Applied Cybersecurity program, which is also offered with remote monitoring, trains highly qualified scientists in the field of cybersecurity.

It is developed in a series of sections, which deal with all aspects of the protection of a digital society and its data and combine the theoretical concepts of cybersecurity with practical topics and case studies. They cover all four areas of cybersecurity: Management, Technology, Regulatory, Forensic Science, with their sub-areas.

Graduates can work as Information Security Managers, Information Security Auditors, Security Managers or Architects, Senior Security Engineers, Data Protection Experts and many other positions in the private and public sectors. They can also continue their studies to obtain an MPhil degree or a doctorate.

Entry Requirements

Studying at BCA, you live in Greece but you are exposed to the learning experience designed and provided by a high-level British or Swiss University and you are awarded the same, Bachelor & Master degrees, awarded to UK and Swiss students., which are recognized in the Greek and international labor market. The programmes of study provided by BCA College are further enriched with industrial visits, seminars and lectures organised during the year in parallel with the curriculum. These co-curricular  activities bridge the academic theory taught in classrooms with current professional practice, transfer students’ know-how and expertise in real time, and connect them with renowned executives, entrepreneurs, and people with key positions in their field.

Applicants can be admitted to the course as long as they possess:

  • a second class honours degree from a UK University, or
  • a Ptychion of 6.0 and above from  an AEI University or
  • a Ptychion of 7.0 and above from a TEI University, or
  • a Bachelor from an American University with GPA 2.75 and above or equivalent qualification.

Applicants are also required to submit one of the following certifications:

  • IELTS: a minimum score of 6.5 (with a minimum score of 5.5 in each component of the test)
  • Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): Pass at C1 level
  • Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): C and above
  • Cambridge English: First (FCE): B and above
  • Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency in English (ECPE): P( Pass) and above
  • Pearson Academic (PTE): 53 (with a minimum score of 51 in each component of the test)
  • BCA IELTS Placement Test: a minimum score of 6.5 (with a minimum score of 5.5 in each component of the test)
  • Other English language qualifications may be considered.

Intensive English classes are provided to those students who do not meet the English requirements.

Δρ. Ζωή Αναγνωστίδου

H Δρ. Ζωή Αναγνωστίδου αποφοίτησε από το Τμήμα Οικονομικών Επιστημών του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας το 2004. Στη συνέχεια, πραγματοποίησε μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Bath (UK) με αντικείμενο το Μάνατζμεντ, και εκπόνησε τη διδακτορική της διατριβή στο Οικονομικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών (Tμήμα Μάρκετινγκ και Επικοινωνίας)

στο πεδίο της Συμπεριφοράς Καταναλωτή. Από το 2008 διδάσκει μαθήματα μάρκετινγκ και επικοινωνίας και έχει παράλληλα εργαστεί ως ανεξάρτητη ερευνήτρια και σύμβουλος πάνω σε διάφορα project. Τα τρέχοντα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζουν στη συμπεριφορά και ψυχολογία του καταναλωτή και την εταιρική κοινωνική ευθύνη.​

These postgraduate titles, which can also be obtained with a degree or honors, are awarded to those students who have completed a part of the postgraduate course.
