GLION INSTITUTE OF HIGHER EDUCATION

Glion Institute of Higher Education: Αριστείο στην Εκπαίδευση Hospitality & Luxury Business

The Glion Institute of Higher Education was founded in 1962 and offers Business Bachelor and Master degrees. The Glion Institute, together with the “sister” school Les Roches and Education Ducasse,  is a member of the renowned Sommet Education Club. It is one of the leading educational institutions in the world specializing in tourism and hotel studies (consistently among the top 5).

The Glion Institute of Higher Education provides a  high-level academic environment and focuses on the development of practical professional skills that are a prerequisite for success in the modern hospitality industry. Its instructors have won prestigious awards, have taught at many institutions and have worked or held administrative positions in large international organisations. With a ratio of instructors/ students 1 to 5 and with 15 students per class, students experience the concept of individualized teaching, and develop their personal skills in an environment of high demands, competition and cooperation.

The Glion Institute of Higher Education is certified by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) and awards world-renowned undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The programmes offered in the campus in London have been certified by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), an independent body that controls standards and quality in higher education in the United Kingdom.

The Glion Institute of Higher Education has established a strategic partnership with BCA, which opens up new perspectives for students of the Hospitality Department. Undergraduate students have the option to attend the first 3 or 2 years at BCA (this depends on whether they have been admitted to the 1st year or directly to the 2nd year of the program based on the enrolment requirements) and the last year of their studies at the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland.

As part of this privileged cooperation, BCA students will be entitled to a 20% discount on the university fees, while at any time during their studies in Greece, they can attend  a “semester”,  abroad in Switzerland.

At the end of their 4th year of study in Switzerland, students will receive a Glion degree and will have the opportunity to participate in the process for the  global professional promotion of the graduates of the Institute. Students receive an average of 4 job offers for their first job and almost all (98%) of students already have one or more job offers by the day they graduate.

At the same time, BCA – School of Hospitality Management offers exclusively in Greece and Cyprus, three seminar programs of Glion and Les Roches schools for executives and professionals: the “Ownership Transition”, the “Human Resources Management” and the “F&B Management”.
