This module will analyse and interpret the role of the Rooms Division in the hotel industry. The students will learn about rooms division terminology. During their study, students will learn how to handle service requests, guest complaints and improving quality of services. Moreover, issues and topics of front office accounting, account settlement process, front office audit process, cleaning science, housekeeping budget and expenses, safety and security, interior design and decorations will also take place in the learning process. What is more, students will learn the correct steps that a front office agent should follow as far as the check-in, check out and the reservation processes are concerned. The students will be capable of using hotel software (Opera and Protel) by completing fundamental functions such as making new reservation, check in and check out, registration cards, room charges, currency exchange and payment methods.
