The module will develop in detail quality management rules and practices applicable to Marine Operations Management onboard and ashore. Focus will be provided to the Rules, Regulations and prevailing Industry Standards towards continual improvement and the Risk Management. Particular and detailed analysis on the elements of a successful management and the importance of Marine Assurance resulting in the economic growth of an organisation will be provided. The concentration in performance monitoring during all the regimes of Port State Control Inspections, Flag State Inspections, Vetting Inspections and Rightship rating system together with periodical Management Reviews by industry stake holders such as Oil Major Companies (TMSA), will assist students to easily understand the value of Internal and External Audits and the importance of managers input, during periodical Management Reviews in achieving organisation’s goals. Finally, emphasis will be placed upon practical elements of operational best practices, welfare of personnel, the assets efficient management, and Crisis Management, utilizing an interactive learning environment.
