This module describes project management methodologies, best practices, and standards for selecting, planning, executing, and monitoring projects. It focuses on triple constraint management, risk management, working with stakeholders, project monitoring and taking corrective actions.
Techniques will be explained for creating a business case to support the viability of a project, a detailed WBS, sequencing activities, estimating durations, identifying critical paths, budgets and trade-offs, and making projections.
Students will be familiar with the use of different software tools, both commercial and open source, to support the full project life cycle, emphasizing in project monitoring, controlling, and producing new estimates.
