Personality and Individual Differences

This course  addresses the field of individual differences. It covers the key theoretical approaches to personality (e.g., dispositional-trait, biological, psychodynamic, etc); focus will be primarily on typical populations. Issues in the assessment of personality will also be discussed. Throughout this module, students will critically evaluate empirical research assessing the influence of nature and nurture on individual differences. Topics that will be covered will include the genetics of personality, structure of personality, personality development, culture and personality, motives and more.
