The module aims to introduce students to the overall framework of Maritime Policy at global, regional and national levels, and provide students with an understanding of how Maritime Policy is being implemented through Rules and Regulations.
Additionally, it introduces students to the commercial, legal, safety and environmental aspects of shipping, in relation to International Rules and Regulations, it presents the Management Schemes applicable to shipping with particular emphasis on the impacts they have on the shipping industry management practices, and it introduces students to risk analysis methodologies.
