The module starts with a general framework on how data can be used to improve decision-making. In doing, it uncovers the fundamentals biases that interfere with the decision-making process, and demonstrates how data can help us overcome them. Then, we discuss the key areas of analytics: from descriptive and predictive to prescriptive and present different tools and case studies for each area. The module concludes with in-depth case studies from a number of companies that illustrate how those companies managed to overcome any implementation challenges and create tangible value from data science and analytics.
