This module’s overarching objective is to develop students’ understanding and evaluation of Leadership and Strategy within organisations.
The module introduces students to a wide range of models, theories and topics on Leadership and highlights central debates in the field. Furthermore, it covers traditional approaches and current and critical Leadership issues from a theoretical and a practical perspective.
Moreover, the module highlights the cornerstone of Strategy in the Hospitality and Tourism context. Students will be able to identify, compare and contrast the various strategic options, analyse the internal and external environment thoroughly and critically evaluate and select among different generic strategies.
Finally, students will acquire a critical appreciation of Leadership and Strategic Management in modern hospitality organisations.
