This module will examine language development from birth to middle childhood. The module will cover language development stages and language theories, important activities and techniques for language development and assessment. Focus will be on of pre-reading/pre-writing and reading and writing curricula for preschool and kindergarten. Attention will be paid to children whose language development differs from the typical group, based on the most recent and advanced research and knowledge in this field.
