This module describes the concepts of IT and Project Management on the competitive environment.
Regarding IT, terms such as software, hardware, databases and data processing (data and information) are explained. Moreover, the students will learn the concepts of Strategic information systems; IT and globalisation; business processes and IT; using IT/IS to achieve competitive advantage.
The students will be familiar with the methodologies for IT project selection and management decision-making.
Regarding Project Management, the different project management areas are explained. It focuses on the following topics: Triple Constraint Management, Organizing and Staffing the Project Office and Team, Quality and Risk Management, Working With Stakeholders, Planning, Network Scheduling Techniques and Project Metrics.
