This module focuses the basic principles of early childhood education and early childhood care, considering the individual needs and characteristics of young children. The notion of care will be elaborated, and the importance of building relationship will be discussed in detail. The module will cover the ways in which young children learn and the ways in which educators can use children’s interest as learning opportunities. The module will show how educators can set learning objectives and can enhance children’s autonomy, independence and right to privacy.
