This module will focus on curriculum design and development (including issues in curriculum assessment) as they are all central to teaching and learning in the classroom. It will introduce students to the principles and relevant information about the basic elements, factors and institutions involved in the planning and impementation of school curricula. It will cover different early childhood curriculum models. It will draw from the relationship between developmental theory, philosophy, practice, and development of curriculum – considering too children that are culturally, linguistically, and ability diverse.
