This module will be delivered via six-hour long sessions per week providing scaffolded exercises and activities to help students read effectively, take notes, develop critical thinking, formulate their opinions on a range of academic subjects, deliver presentations, understand and describe graphs and write academic essays, using academic language.
Library sessions will provide guidance on searching and assessing relevant literature, acknowledge and incorporate others’ ideas and work into their writing to avoid plagiarism. The teaching material will be uploaded on the ilearn after each lecture, followed by additional supporting material.
Content may have to be adapted to the English competence of the participants.
