Academic Talk titled «Advertising: Business or Art?” by Dr. Kostas Rokos, Managing Director & CFO of IPG Mediabrands.

On the 29th of April 2015, Dr. Kostas Rokos, Managing Director & CFO of IPG Mediabrands, talked to students at the BCA Athens Campus.

Dr. Rokos talked about the importance of advertising, and its significant impact on promotional efforts. He stated that all forms of art have been incorporated in advertisements and stressed that advertising and art are intertwined. He then presented various examples of successful advertisements and talked about the elements which lead to an ad’s success or failure. 

Mr Rokos, graduated from the University of AUEB and completed his post graduate studies on Businesses Administration and Motivation of Personnel from the London School of Economics. He worked at Deloitte and in 1988 worked as CFO for Agroinvest S.A.

In 1989 he was the Economic and Management Director of IPG Mediabrands Group for Greece, Turkey and Middle East and since 2013 he has been the  of CEO of the Group in Greece.
