Seminar by Mr. George Veinoglou, Commercial Director of Icon Platforms

Wednesday, the 2nd of December 2015, signaled the completion of the seminar titled «Gamification: Loyalty in the digital era: excite, challenge, reward», presented by Mr. George Veinoglou, Commercial Director of Icon Platforms.  The seminar took place on the 18th and 25th of November and the 2nd of December 2015 during which Mr. Veinoglou analyzed the methodology of Gamification, which entails using games with the aim of increasing consumer loyalty.

Mr. Veinoglou stated that given the increasing use of digital media, companies are faced with challenges when trying to maintain consumer loyalty. These difficulties are mitigated by using gamification, because it enables companies to engage with consumers in a completely different way. The keynote speaker stated that in order to successfully implement a gamified project, the objectives of the project need to be clearly defined. The company would then need to come up with an innovative gaming concept, and interesting content which would amuse and engage the consumer, further enhancing brand loyalty. Mr. Veinoglou analyzed various examples of B2B, B2C, B2E gamification projects, highlighting that one of the success factors of this methodology is the measurability of results.

It is also worth noting that Mr. Veinoglou recognized the creativity of BCA’s marketing and business students and offered to meet with those interested in working in his company.
