Vasilis Daskalakis founds the ESEM (Liberal Studies in Applied Computer studies), the first computer school in Athens (Agios Konstantinos 27).
The biggest computer in Athens at that time, which belonged to ELKO-VAGIONIS, is used for the educational needs of students..

The Business Centre of Athens (BCA) is founded. It was comprised of two "schools":
A) The School of Business Studies (SBS) a vocational school and
B) The School of Independent Studies -BCA, offering courses in Marketing, Public relations, Advertising, Sales, Management, Industrial Management and Shipping available for the first time in Greece.
The first BCA campus, is designed to accommodate the needs of the College and is located a building at Didotou I5 and Marseille in Kolonaki.

S.B.S is transferred to Patision street (opposite the well-known department store Minion which operated at the time) and BCA to Kifisias Avenue in Palio Psychiko (Agia Barbara). This location gave a specific characterization to the campus, because given the greenery surrounding of the building, BCA soon becomes known as the Green building.
BCA cooperates with educational organizations in Europe for the first time in Greece, namely LONDON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY thus paving the way for the private education sector in Greece.

The BUSINESS CENTER OF ATHENS is renamed BUSINESS COLLEGE OF ATHENS but the logo- the now well-known BCA- is kept. The new BCA begins to form partnerships with educational organizations in Great Britain first with the London School of Foreign Trade, afterwards with London Polytechnic, then London Guildhall University and eventually with London Metropolitan University a collaboration which exists today.

Vasilis Daskalakis founds the European College Centre for Business Studies, (ECBS) in Rome, located at 110 Via Cimone in Belle Jardini area thus creating the first college in Greece which operates branches in Europe.

The expansion abroad continues with the establishment of the Institute for Business Studies, (IBS) in Geneva.

Two K.E.K (vocational training centers) BCA KEK and DIDASK KEK are founded. BCA KEK offers training for the unemployed and DIDASK KEK offered industrial equipment engineering education, through the use of technologically advanced training devices of the German company FESTO.

BCA participates in the projectof the European Society ARCHIMEDE and in collaboration with the Commercial and Industrial Chamber of Athens (ACCI) and eight other European countries undertakes research studies.

DIDASK Educational System Ltd. is founded with the sole purpose of issuing textbooks related to the content of courses offered by the Group.

The International School of Athens (I.S.A) is founded. The I.SA is located in Kifissia, and is currently one of the largest and most reputable foreign schools in Greece.

The International School expands to Larissa and is called International School of Larissa (ISL). It provides education for the children of NATO employees.

The law which recognizes the professional rights of the degrees awarded by Greek Colleges is enacted. BCA is the first College that receives the license to operate as a private College, under the name “BCA Business College of Athens”

MELINA's KINDERGARTEN, a chain of kindergartens is founded in Kifissia.

Second amendment of the existing law , and voting of the law 4073/2012 through which the Greek state is required to recognize the professional rights of Greek colleges alumni, and required to set explicit procedures and dates.
The Educational Group, which operates more than 40 years under the same management, continues to provide high quality education at all educational levels (from kindergarten to Master’s ) to about 2000 pupils and students annually rightfully allowing it to claim the title of one of the most prestigious education institutions operating in the private education sector in Greece.
