Eleni Serafetinidou, Account Director – pH7 Advertising Agency

Eleni Serafetinidou is the Account Director for pH7 Advertising Agency. For the last 15 years   she has been in the area of communication and marketing, holding several key positions in large multinational and Greek companies such as KNORR Bestfoods Hellas, Unilever , Public Power Corporation.  She holds a Master in Science in Marketing from Aston University (UK) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Athens University of Economics and Business.

Alexia Charoupa, "Creator of The Storytelling Hotel"

Alexia Charoupa has graduated from the Department of Communication, Media and Culture, of Panteion University (with a specialization in Marketing, PR and Communication). She is a Hospitality Writer on Travel Daily News and Hospitality Net and periodically contributes to and Savoir Ville. Furthermore she is a Guest Experience Expert at The Cloud Keys. Having performed as Concierge at The Romanos, A Luxury Collection Resort, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and Concierge d'hôtel at Katikies Hotel, Santorini, she is currently Guest Relations Manager at Rocabella Santorini Suites & Spa.

Moreover, she is the Founder/CEO and Owner of "The Storytelling Hotel". With "The Storytelling Hotel”, Alexia represented Greece in the 3rd Annual European Thesis Competition of Edcom by E.A.C.A (European Association of Communication Agencies) after being nominated by the Greek Institute of Communication to do so and was given a place among the top 10 European Finalists.

"The Storytelling Hotel” was also awarded the Silver Tourism Award 2016- in the Section: Strategy & Innovation/ Award Category: 1.7 Research & Writing Work: ΤEMES (Costa Navarino).

Her expertise lies in the branding narrative management of hotels, the experience economy as well as the creation of storytelling and "wow" factors in the field of hospitality. Cognizing hotels as narrative platforms, with any hospitality brand that she works, she tries to increase its uniqueness in terms of service innovation, accomplish personalized signature experiences and, last but not least, manage the emotional connection of the guest with the brand. Part of her work on experiential and narrative hospitality has been featured in the "International Association of Hotel General Managers" as well as in the "Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI)".

Athanasios Kollias, co-founder of Bubble-Box – handmade jewelry

Athanasios Kollias has an academic background and experience in Communications and Marketing and as a productive, versatile and proficient Communications Specialist; has excelled in the development of customer relations and communications and marketing plans.
He possesses enhanced knowledge and experience in developing two-way communication channels for internal and external stakeholders. He is currently employed as a Product Marketing Manager for a start-up company where he develops promotional strategies for brand awareness and profitability.
Additionally, he contributes in the development of new material such as labels and package design and facilitates search engine optimization. Moreover, he works as an Independent Video Content Editor for National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Xenia Kourtoglou, President & CEO FOCUS BARI S.A.

Xenia Kourtoglou, started her career in 1985 in Market Research while she was still studying and in parallel to being a mother of a two year old daughter. She worked in various companies including MRC, AC Nielsen, and Bold/Ogilvy. In 1988 she founded Focus Bari, the biggest Market Research Agency in Greece, offering Industry Currency Surveys for Radio and Press, and leading surveys on Technology, Telecommunications, E-commerce and a vast variety of consumer/FMCG product lines.

Focus Bari has received various local and international awards and won the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award 2014 for the innovative startup e-satisfaction.

Xenia Kourtoglou is particularly active in the business community through her participation and contribution at local and European organizations on Media & Market Research, on Digital Advertising and Technology (ESOMAR, EMRO, SEDEA, EEDE, IAB, TOGME), is a founding member of I for U (Greek Mentoring Network), is a member of the European Mentor Network for women in business and Secretary General at IAB Hellas.

Dimitrios Diamantidis, Chartering Director of Diamond Shipbroking Ltd

Dimitrios Diamantidis is a graduate of Piraeus University from where he completed his degree in Economics and his masters in Shipping. He is considered an accomplished broker with extensive experience in the field of shipping. He started working at the company Tsakos Shipping (2003 - 2007) in various departments but mainly in the Chartering department. In 2006 together with his brother Basili, he founded the brokerage company "Diamond Shipbroking Ltd", which they still manage successfully.

Capt. Georgios Tsouris, DPA-CSO, at Blue Planet Shipping LTD

Capt. Georgios Tsouris, is currently operations manager, DPA-CSO, at Blue Planet Shipping LTD. He has extensive experience in the field of shipping and from 1997 to 2007 he served the industry from various posts including that of port Captain -operation department, attending repairs, dry-dockings etc.

During the period of 2008 to 2015 he served as secretary of the Pan-Hellenic Masters and Mates Union, as a member of the Board of Directors in the Greek Merchant Nany Retirement Fund (NAT) (period 2012 to 2015) and as a Permanent Member of the Board of the Disciplinary Committee of the Merchant Navy. He has coordinated and executed the programmes “Sail head” ( and “Stress prevention activities” (www.SPA) in cooperation with other European partners.

From 2008 he has taken on the role of lecturer in numerous educational institutions including teaching “Shipping Operations” from 2013 to 2015 at BCA.

Dr. Efthimios Poulis, Chief Executive Officer at Epsilon

Dr. Efthimios Poulis has been working for corporations such as Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson and various multinational companies in the shipping industry in Greece and the Philippines. He has also assumed key roles: as a senior academic in numerous universities and as a leading figure in various institutional bodies.

As Epsilon’s Chief Executive Officer, Efthimios is responsible for designing and supervising the implementation of strategy, as well as maintaining and nurturing a seafarer-oriented and customer-centric logic throughout Epsilon's activities.

Efthimios has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and an M.B.A. achieved with distinction from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a Ph.D. in Strategy from Manchester Business School in the UK.

Kyra Kapi, Deputy Head of Press Office in charge of Digital Media and Regional Media

Kyra Kapi is a Journalist, a communications advisor and a social media expert.

She holds a degree of Communications and Mass Media from University of Athens as well as an MSc in Broadcast Journalism and New Media at Columbia, New York.

In the past she has worked as a journalist on television (ERT), then went on to 9,84 radio station and was an assistant producer at STAR Channel. She has also worked with ANT1 and SKAI, presenting the news, as well as hosting political shows.  During her studies she collaborated with the New York Times, and she has also done an internship at UNESCO in Paris. She speaks English, German, and French.

Ioannis Pachoulis, CEO of the shipping company MEGACHART INC, Former President of the Hellenic Shipbrokers’ Association

Mr. John Pachoulis studied shipping in Greece at a shipping college, and shipping business in the UK at the London School of Foreign Trade. He specialized in the fields of ship management and shipbroking. He is the CEO of MEGACHART INC and was President of the Hellenic Shipbrokers Association from 2005 to 2013.

He is responsible for the charter committee since 1998 and is the main lecturer at the Hellenic Shipbrokers Association and the Hamburg School of Business Administration for the MBA in Shipping programme. He has given many lectures at the shipping department of the University of Piraeus and in Shipping colleges. He writes articles related to issues governing the freight market in “Nauftika Chronika”, in “Naftemporiki” and other reputable shipping magazines and newspapers. He has appeared as keynote speaker in various Greek and International maritime conferences and meetings.

Since 1984, he has been a member of the Piraeus Marine Club. He has been a member of the award committee for the LLOYD'S LIST GREEK SHIPPING AWARDS, and was awarded on behalf of the Hellenic Shipbrokers Association from LLOYD'S LIST for the services he provided through the H.S.A in educational matters. He is a member of the Piraeus Association for Maritime Arbitration.

Daphne Tsevreni is co-founder and CCO of Clio Muse PC, a SaaS platform to administer and resell digital themed tours..She specializes on business development and business planning. She has 4-year experience on cultural management and business development on the cultural sector. She holds a BSc. on Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business.

Christina Argyrou, Director Partnerships of Welcome

Christina Argyrou has been in the travel industry since 2001 and since then has worked in Greece and abroad for leading local and international companies such as HotelBrain, Hilton, Expedia and now Welcome, a start-up travel company that provides, via transfers, travel essentials and mobile technology, the most personalized and complete travel experience from the moment traveler arrives to a new destination till the moment he is back home. Along with the working experience came the studies. Christina holds a bachelor in International Relations, a Master in Hospitality Management and an MBA and specializes in sales, revenue management, strategic partnerships and new markets penetration.

Christos Ditoras, E-Commerce & Marketing Executive at Hilton Athens Hotel

Christos Ditoras has graduated from the Department of International and European Studies from the University of Piraeus and he holds an MBA with specialization in Marketing from the same university. He has attended seminars on Tourism and Digital Marketing.

Since 2015 he has been working as E-Commerce & Marketing Coordinator in Hilton Athens. His duties include - among others -  the following: the development and implementation of the hotel’s digital marketing plan, the development and implementation of Social Media Strategy, the support of PR activities, the promotion of F&B activities, the implementation of the day-to-day digital marketing activities, the management of the reputation of the hotel in the Web, the monitoring and analysis of media coverage and the content curation.

Vicky Liakou, Director of Sales Golden Age Hotel, Athens-Greece

Vicky Liakou was born and grown up in Athens.  She studied Hospitality & Tourism Management at BCA College.  Since then he has completed 20 years of successful business experience in the Tourism Industry. Started up her experience in 5 * Athens city Hotels, "Plaza Strand Hotel" & "Divani Caravel", where she got the right foundation for professional development. Completing 10 years of experience in all operating departments of the hotel she continued as Operation & Sales Manager at "Kanales Suites" & "Kanales Travel" on Paros island and at "Mykonian Mare Resort & Spa" on Mykonos island. She became expert in Sales Management with a permanent target of economic development in the Hotel Business.  Parallel she was a Regular Member of "Greek Public Relations Company"

Today is mother of 8-years old daughter and Sales Manager at "Helios Hotels". She continues monitoring and updating in Sales Management & Administration with boundless interest and dynamism. Her future desire is to be able to pass on her knowledge and her experience to students & rising managers of Tourism Industry.

Dimitra Labropoulou, Ass. HR Manager / Training Manager, Hilton Athens Hotel

Dimitra holds a BA degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management and Postgraduate Studies in Human Resources Management. Experienced HR professional with a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality industry in multinationals companies. Currently she is working as Training Manager and Ass. HR Manager in Hilton Athens hotel. Part of her role is to develop and implement training programs and also facilitates intense programs for leadership to executive members in Europe area.  

Other areas of responsibility include supervising the development, administration and implementation of all HR functions, such as: interviewing, recruitment, appraisals, training and professional development, talent management, benefits, health & safety, and associate relations activities. In addition undertakes and executes regional projects representing Europe mainland.

Barbara Avdis, Managing Director of the Yades Greek Historic Hotels network & Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Historic Hotels of Europe

An entrepreneur with 20 years hotel management and consulting experience, Barbara Avdis is the founder and developer of the Yades Greek Historic Hotels network of 17 handpicked hotels in Greece. Since 2013, Barbara Avdis serves also as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Historic Hotels of Europe organization, a collection of 13 national hotel groups representing around 400 historic hotels in Europe.

The Historic Hotels of Europe is the leading umbrella organization that with the finest collection of unique places to stay in castles, manors, country houses and monasteries with elegant accommodation and fine cuisine spanning 15 countries in Europe.

Barbara holds an MBA degree from SDA Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, and a Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management from the Lausanne Hotel School in Switzerland.

In 2008 Barbara was officially nominated for Greece for the Woman of Europe Award, for her work and dedication in Tourism and the Yades group.

She participates actively as a speaker in international conferences and universities related to cultural tourism, with a scope to raise awareness about the sustainable economic growth to local communities through tourism.

Barbara has been part of the BCA team in the Research and Development department from 2001 to 2003.

Panos Zachariadis, Technical Director of Atlantic Bulk Carriers and an IMO Greek Delegation member

Panos Zachariadis is Technical Director of Atlantic Bulk Carriers Management Ltd since 1997. The company currently operates 22 bulk carriers. From 1984 to 1997 he was Marine Superintendent in the company’s New York office. His 35 year shipping experience spans diverse areas including sea service in bulk carriers and oil tankers, dry dock repairs, new-building supervision, negotiations  and specifi-cations, ship operations and chartering. He holds a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering and a MSE degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan.
He has been attending IMO since 2004 as a member of the Greek delegation. He was extensively involved with IMO’s Goal Based Standards and the Greek study which reversed the IMO decision to make double hull bulk carriers mandatory. He was also instrumental in developing the new IMO coating standard (PSPC) for all ships’ ballast tanks. Currently he is involved in the new IMO environmental regulations for ships. Together with major shipyards he has applied numerous energy saving ideas, some of which have become industry standards.
He has written numerous technical guides, papers and articles and has been awarded the 2011 Efkranti Shipping Personality award for promoting Greek Shipping internationally and the 2017 Hellenic Shortsea Shipowners Association "Shipping Personality" award. Member of Hellenic Chamber of Shipping and Union of Greek Shipowners technical committees, BIMCO Marine Committee, ABS European Technical Committee, LR Technical Committee, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, SNAME, BOD HELMEPA and MARTECMA.

Giannis Kefalakis, Business Development Manager Keytours

Yiannis Kefalakis is the business development manager of Keytours, a Greek leading tour operator company which provides archaeological tours and excursions. He is also the founder of Blue Travelista, a new internet company which promotes and sells holiday packages online.  He works on tourism industry through major companies (Hertz, Grand resort Lagonissi, E.T.S. congresses, Alexander hotel) since 2004. 

As a result, he is experienced in both hospitality and travel services field. 


Vassilis Manolopoulos, Operations Department and D/A Manager, at Eurotankers INC, BCA MSc Shipping graduate (2014).

Vassilis Manolopoulos is the D/A Manager at Eurotankers INC. and member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. He has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Piraeus (2010) and a Masters in Shipping from BCA College (2014). During and after his studies Mr. Manolpoulos gained experience in ship brokering and  shipping operations whilst fine tuning his negotiation skills and knowledge of the shipping industry. In 2015 he furthered his studies achieving a Business Economist Certificate from BWL Institut , Basel, Switzerland for which he was awarded the scholarship.  He is a highly motivated individual with a detailed and results oriented mind-set.

Panagiotis Markantonatos, Business Development Manager, Saint Startup

Panagiotis Markantonatos, throughout his professional and academic career, has been both a marketing strategist and a project manager in several contexts and sectors. Either setting up a business incubator or managing a European Commission’s Innovative Actions project, building sound relationships and communication strategies in advertising, coordinating line Ministries, or implicated in scientific research along with big-blue’s Chief Architects and University professors, Panagiotis is a “systems thinking” individual, that views problems, timetables, people and budgets as integral parts of an overall system. He has given lectures in graduate and post graduate level in several domains such as Political Economy, Marketing strategy, Media Planning, Pitching and Business Development. As a Marketing Coach for "The Athens Business Incubator", Panagiotis uses his tutoring and marketing experience and based on lean start up methodology actively supports the development of innovative ventures. Panagiotis, holds a Bachelors Degree in Economic Science from the University of Athens, a MSc in Innovation Management from the University of Strasbourg and is a valedictorian of the Greek National School of Public Administration (2011 class).

Anda Karagianni, Praxis Plus – Strategic Communication,Marketing |IrenePalace Beach Resort – Management

Anda is a tourism expert, with specialization in strategic Marketing & Communication.  Anda is the founder of «Praxis Plus» (2006), a company in strategic communication and marketing.  Since then, she is actively involved in strategic planning and business development of companies, local authorities and organizations. Praxis Plus, is also the exclusive partner for South Aegean of FVW, North Events, Hellenic Management Association. Anda is part of the management team of Irene Palace hotel in Rhodes.  She served as Vice President of the Rhodes Hotel Owners Association (2011-2014) and Vice President of the Rhodes Hotel Managers Association.  She is active on the "Culture-TOURISM" field for over 20 years with the belief that the "heavy artillery" of tourism is our culture.
She taught Public Relations in ASTER – School of Tourism Profession- (4 years), she is a public speaker at seminars & conferences.

Ulf Skovli, General Manager Jotun Hellas Ltd and Jotun Cyprus Ltd

Μr. Ulf Skovli, completed his degree in Business Administration in Norway in 2002 and soon after attained the position of marketing manager at Jotun. His personal aspiration was to “Create the best and most efficient Jotun organization” and this he achieved whist accomplishing impressive growth rates. His accomplishments include but are not limited to an award winning advertisement in the first year of his employment, securing big level clients including some of the most iconic buildings in the world and developing the brand’s network in the 7 Emirates in a span of a few years. In 2010, Mr. Skovli took on the role of Sales Manager for the company’s Marine segment and further established the brand in the gulf area. Currently he serves the company from the post of General Manager of Jotun Hellas and Jotun Cyprus continuously ensuring the sustainable growth of the companies whilst providing profitable tailor made solutions.

Kostas G. Vlachos, Chief Operating Officer of the CMM-CONSOLIDATED MARINE MANAGEMENT Inc.- Latsis Group

Kostas Vlachos is Mechanical / Electrical Engineer graduated from Technical University of Athens.

He had been working for 15 years as a representative member for the Hellenic Flag Administration in IMO and EU in Safety and Environmental committees.

He is currently the COO of Latsco Shipping Ltd and the Managing Director of the subsidiary company the Consolidated Marine Management Inc. having full control and responsibilities on technical and operational matters of the vessels belonging to the corporate company (LPG carriers and oil tankers currently 23 in total).

He is a member of ABS, DNV-GL, LRS, National and technical committees.

In 2013 was elected Chairman of Intertanko Hellenic Mediterranean Panel and a Council representative of Greece member.

He is a member of Intertanko Safety, Technical and Environmental Committee (ISTEC) and of Intertanko Gas Committee.

He is a member of the common working group OCIMF-Intertanko, which was established in 2015 with the aim to reviewing and promoting Human Element matters of common interest.

Since 2014 he is a member of the ExCom of Intertanko.

He has been inviting in various fora as a speaker on Safety, Environmental and Technological developments, such as Intertanko, Mare Forum, Newsfront, Capital link, Lloyds Gas Forum, DNV-GL safety forum, Safety4Sea and others.

Maria Mastronikola, PR & CSR Manager of Aldemar Resorts

Maria Mastronikola is the PR and CSR Manager of Aldemar Resorts. With a 4 years’ expertise in the Corporate Communication and PR profession she develops and executes all aspects of public outreach campaigns to increase media exposure and support strategic marketing initiatives. Proven creative talent with demonstrated strength in producing effective advertising, print, and promotional material, she is able to lead teams in developing high-performance and meet challenging objectives. 

She graduated from the English Faculty of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she has also obtained the New Age Marketing Diploma.

She holds the International Diploma in Tourism and the MA in International Hospitality and Tourism Management at BCA college.

Despina Vourou, E-Commerce Consultant

Despina Vourou holds a BA degree in Tourism Business Administration in Technological Educational Institution of Athens and Translation Diploma of the British Council Teaching Centre. In addition, she received “Digital Marketing” certification of the e-learning educational program in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and she is now attending the E-Academy educational program for the “Digital Marketing Practioner” certification. She constantly participates in conferences and workshops in order to be updated about the new trends in tourism industry and digital sector. For instance, the 2nd Conference of Hotel Tech for technology in tourism infrastructure and the “Grow Greek Tourism” online seminar are some of them.

Her professional career in tourism sector began in 2004. Since then, she worked in the sales department of Alkyon Resort Hotel & Spa, in the subsidiary of Airotel group of Hotels, Webotel, as Hotel Account Coordinator with 100+ hotel portfolio in Greece and Africa as well as in Helios Hotels & Resorts as E-Commerce Manager. She currently works as freelance e-commerce consultant and she is responsible for the digital presence of hotels along with implementing sales strategies and adopting yield management.

Dr. Ioulia Poulaki, Adjunct Lecturer, University of West Attica & Hellenic Open University / Airline Revenue Management Analyst

Dr. Ioulia Poulaki has been working in the Air Transport industry for ten years with experience in commercial and operational departments. She is currently a Revenue Management Analyst at Aegean Airlines SA. She holds a Ph.D. in Economic Geography of Air Transport and a M.A. degree in Tourism Planning, Management and Policy from the University of the Aegean, Greece. Her undergraduate studies include a B.A. in Foreign Languages, Translation & Interpreting from the Ionian University, Greece. Ioulia also collaborates with the Hellenic Open University as an Academic Staff Member in the postgraduate program "Tourism Business Administration", while she recently joined University of West Attica as an Adjunct Lecturer in the undergraduate program "Tourism Management". Her academic research interests are focused on the fields of air transport and tourism.

Alexander Maraslidis, Human Resources Manager, Angelicoussis Group

Responsible for designing, monitoring and controlling the implementation of HR plans, structures and programmes - for the shore based human resources of Angelicoussis Group - in alignment with the business objectives and strategic goals.

Previous Employment:

Alexander started his career in Janssen Cilag Pharmaceutical (a Johnson & Johnson company) as a Compensation & Benefits Specialist. Since then he has worked in large organizations such as EFG Eurobank, Emporiki Bank (part of Credit Agricole Group) and others both in Greece and abroad always as Human Resources professional most of them in a Supervisor role.

He holds a B.A. degree in Public Administration (Economics) from Panteion Univeristy (Athens), a M.Sc. degree in Internal Auditing & Management from City University Business School (London) and a M.A. degree in Human Resources Management from Thames Valley University (London).

He is an active Member of the Greek People Management Association (GPMA).

Vassiliki Sofogianni, Head of Accounts Department, DiamLemos Shipping Corporation

Mrs Sofogianni holds a bachelor degree from the Technological Institute of Patras, department of Accounting (2004). She also holds a bachelor degree from the University of Piraeus, department of Maritime Studies (2008). She is a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece since 2004 and holds the highest class (A class). She has a working experience of many years and she is the Head of the Accounts Department of DiamLemos Shipping Corporation since 2016.

Mrs Theodosiou holds a bachelor degree from BCA college of Athens in partnership with Plymouth University department of Shipping, Transport and Logistics (2017) and she is currently undertaking her dissertation in LLM Maritime Law Master Degree from BCA college in partnership with Plymouth University. She has a working experience of three years in the shipping industry, as Assistant Operator in Operations Department and as assistant in the technical department.

Mrs Christianna Loubardia holds a bachelor’s degree from BCA College - Plymouth University, department of Shipping Transport & logistics (2013-2017). She is currently studying her Master on LLM Maritime Law department at BCA College - Plymouth University (2018-present). She has a working experience of 3 years at ACE Chartering S.A. as a broker.
